Kraft Paper

Washable kraft paper (also known as washable or launderable paper, snap paper, wrap up or craft paper) in various natural colours is sold as a fabric by the metre, but you can buy it from us in individual pieces.

It is a material that can be washed, sewn, ironed on a gentle setting, pleated, laminated, engraved, and even dyed with textile-specific colours that withstand washing. It does not shrink, change colour, or dissolve in water. It contains synthetic latex, which makes it durable and flexible.

It is an excellent alternative to materials of animal origin and artificial leather. Accessories made from washable kraft paper have a modern, natural, and eco-friendly look.

Kraft paper (also known as paper fabric) is used in fashion and decoration. It is an excellent material for making bags, purses, backpacks, boxes, or covers for books, notebooks, and calendars. It is also used for making textile labels suitable for clothing (you can make them yourself at home by cutting them out and stamping them with textile paint or painting them with textile-specific paint).

Kraft sewing paper is also called vegan leather. Why?

• Because it is paper that looks like leather and feels like real leather to the touch.

• No animal-derived ingredients are used in its production.

• Through washing and use, it develops an even more intense texture resembling aged leather.

When sewing it, use sharp denim or leather needles sizes 100 to 110.
