This fabric is characterised by its outstanding properties. It is made of 100% polyester with a weight of 160g/m2 and a standard width of 150cm. Rongo is a matte, sturdy, and tightly woven fabric, providing high resistance to stretching and mechanical damage. Unlike natural fabrics, pleated Rongo exhibits exceptional resistance to dirt and does not require washing at high temperatures. You will appreciate its high resistance to wrinkling, minimising the need for ironing. Polyester Gabardine is very similar to popular suiting fabric, but it is thinner and lighter than cotton gabardine. It is ideal for sewing garments such as summer suits, dresses, skirts, and jackets. How to sew pleated Rongo fabric: We recommend using a universal needle for regular sewing with a thickness of 75 to 90. The finer the fabric, the finer the needle point should be. Choose from our selection of first-class Beissel brand needles, which are manufactured under a German licence.
Tip: Don't forget to use sharp and high-quality tailor's scissors that will ensure smooth cutting of the fabric while providing an ergonomic handle for your comfort. Use the scissors exclusively for fabric. Using them on fabric and paper simultaneously will quickly dull and damage them.
