Satin - Spring

At Takoy, we offer a wide selection of satin fabric, available by the metre, in various colours and custom-designed prints. Our satin, also known as sateen, is primarily composed of polyester and comes in larger quantities conveniently stored on rolls.

Satin is a woven fabric known for its distinctive sheen on one side and a completely matte finish on the other. It can be crafted from different types of fibres, with polyester being the most prevalent choice, often blended with elastane for added elasticity. This composition results in a fabric that is smooth, supple and has a slight stretch. Additionally, we also carry non-stretch satin, which boasts a firm and structured drape.

With its satin weave construction, this fabric exhibits a luxurious appearance and a soft, flowing texture similar to silk.
